Scientists discover bacteria that can eat plastic trash

Every year we produce 311 million tons of plastic. Actually a Japanese scientists say they've discovered the first known bacteria who eat plastic.
Ideonella sakaiensis 201-F6 was found to break the plastic in a process that takes six weeks and that the researchers think can be accelerated.
However, the plastic bottles are made of highly crystallized PET, and it is more slower to eat for the bacteria.
The world is complete of tons of plastic what contaminate a lot. The scientists think this is the first step to clear the world of all of this tons of plastic and trash. The future is going to be more clear and natural for a better life.
